Lana Del Rey Style. . .

Not only do I have her new song 'Videogames' on repeat, but Lana Del Rey has caught my eye as a serious style envy candidate! Just like her music, Del Rey seems to epitomise modern day old-school glamour. Her lips have also gained great attention (lets be serious for a moment: they do look fake!) however I do think they give her a real distinct look. She claims she used to live in a 'trailor park' so I would personally describe her look as polished, urban and slightly trailor- park sheek (in the most complimentary manner of course) with her gold jewellery, high waisted denims and her 1940's waves. Her look is new and fresh, definately one to watch. . .

Dip Dye Hair. . .

 Drew Barrymore

Alexa Chung

Ashlee Simpson

Rachel Bilson

I am DYING to dip into the enormous tresses trend that is of course dip-dying. Of late, celebs such as Kate Bosworth and Lauren Conrad are experimenting to the extremes with mint greens and peaches along with model of the moment Charlotte Free who's whole hair is a popping pink. However I would like to stick to the slightly 'last season' look of blonde/copper dipped ends. Personally Rachel Bilson is the ultimate perfecter of this look, with her gorgeous brunette waves tumbling into blonde strands. Drew Barrymore and Alexa Chung rock this look amazingly too, while Ashlee Simpson keeps hers more natural with  mousey brown dipped ends rather than full on blonde. If done right this look is so stylish and I'm hoping that maybe I can try this look at home?? Result will be posted. WATCH THIS SPACE. . .

Topshop Wishlist. . .

Skinnies: €57 ~ Shoeboots: €105 ~ Sheer Blouse: €57

Love a bitta sheer polka dotting, reminiscent of Stella McCartney and Marc Jacob's spot on SS12 collections. The glittery shoeboots are also a take on Dolce&Gabbana's sparkly footwear which give a real glamzon feel, especially important for Christmas season ahead. Nothing more classic than a completely black outfit and what better way than to add a splash of colour via make~up and accessories!

Lipstick: €12 ~ Clutch: €47

{* Prices are converted into Euro from English Pounds and rounded off as best I could...! }

November Muse. . .

One of my favourite models of the moment~ Arizona Muse is the covergirl for French Vogue's November issue. With her signature bold eyebrows and edgy bob, its no wonder shes walked for countless shows this season inc; Chanel, Dolce&Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy ~ and is now the face of Next's Winter collection. Is this girl an endless muse???!! . . .

Stick to the Day Job Kanye. . .

Oh God. I am slightly speechless at Kanye West's debut SS12 fashion collection. Now I am a huge fan of Kanye. He makes great music. The originality in his songs and raps are top of the range. However he should really, REALLY stick to making music. Clearly there are hints of his R&B background in his collection, but to me his clothes just look tacky. The fur-lined tops, the low cut cleavage exposing and cut out dresses really showed me how cheap and 90's the collection is. Perhaps his debut line hasn't impressed me as its just not my style. However I do think that if any other designer (even Chanel!) produced this show I would slate it just as much as knowing its the first collection of an aspiring rap star designer- West. See this is where I have a real problem with celebrities. Just because they are loaded with millions, they can branch into any form of popular culture they like. They target every corner of the market and clearly it can be disastrous and disappointing. I may sound harsh, but its just my opinion. If I was to choose (or forced) into picking a favourite (most decent) outfit it would be this:

....which in fairness has a slightly Balmain-esque feel to it. However for me, Kanye should really just stick to the day job! What do you think...??
