2012 Golden Globes: Best Dressed. . .

Glitter Goddess: Lea Michelle in Marchesa

Prettiest Plain: Heidi Klum in Calvin Klein

Edgiest Attire: Emma Stone in Lanvin

Natural Beauty: Reese Witherspoon in Zac Posen

Romantic Red: Angelina Jolie in  Atelier Versace

Monochrome Elegance: Kate Winslet in Jenny Packham

Bodycon Brave: Nicole Kidman

Age Appropriate: Tilda Swinton in Jil Sander

The 69th Annual Golden Globes showed off an array of beauty, ranging in age, size and style. There were alot of surprises if you like, the most evident being Angelina Jolie, who wore Atelier Versace. We are used to seeing Jolie in monochrome greys/ blacks/creams; generally lacking in colour! However she looked so romantic with her pearl-white satin dress with red accents complimented by an elegant updo and lustrous red lips. From one favourite look of the night to the other, Emma Stone was my second style chameleon of the event. Personally I just love her style, but she gave the Golden Globes an umph of youthfulness and edginess with her deep purple flowing cut out dress, which was slightly grungy which I loved. She kept hair and make-up simple because of her statement belt and is very much an anti-tan girl which added to the overall look! Other Best Dressed in my view were Heidi Klum who glowed in her peach Calvin Klein number, Nicole Kidman who looked hot in Versace also and Kate Winslet, who in my book can never do wrong shes just so effortlessly classy! No disrespect to Tilda Swinton but generally I have never been a fan of her style but surprisingly I thought she looked amazing in lilac Jil Sander. I love fishtail style dresses and I just thought this along with a fitted blazer is so sheek and age appropriate for Tilda. Lea Michelle has got a lot of mixed reactions online, but I thought she looked smouldering in Marchesa! Her hair, make- up and jewellery all balanced out perfectly and the dress was made to fit her. If you got it, most certainly flaunt it! . . .

Lana Del Rey Style. . .

Not only do I have her new song 'Videogames' on repeat, but Lana Del Rey has caught my eye as a serious style envy candidate! Just like her music, Del Rey seems to epitomise modern day old-school glamour. Her lips have also gained great attention (lets be serious for a moment: they do look fake!) however I do think they give her a real distinct look. She claims she used to live in a 'trailor park' so I would personally describe her look as polished, urban and slightly trailor- park sheek (in the most complimentary manner of course) with her gold jewellery, high waisted denims and her 1940's waves. Her look is new and fresh, definately one to watch. . .

Dip Dye Hair. . .

 Drew Barrymore

Alexa Chung

Ashlee Simpson

Rachel Bilson

I am DYING to dip into the enormous tresses trend that is of course dip-dying. Of late, celebs such as Kate Bosworth and Lauren Conrad are experimenting to the extremes with mint greens and peaches along with model of the moment Charlotte Free who's whole hair is a popping pink. However I would like to stick to the slightly 'last season' look of blonde/copper dipped ends. Personally Rachel Bilson is the ultimate perfecter of this look, with her gorgeous brunette waves tumbling into blonde strands. Drew Barrymore and Alexa Chung rock this look amazingly too, while Ashlee Simpson keeps hers more natural with  mousey brown dipped ends rather than full on blonde. If done right this look is so stylish and I'm hoping that maybe I can try this look at home?? Result will be posted. WATCH THIS SPACE. . .
